One day old…

ONE month old

Two months old

Here is an updated picture of our last little play date. Annie on the left, then Ellie Jane and Maddux. They are all changing so much. Check out our past post “first friends” to see their first picture together, they look so different it is fun to compare. They don’t really “play” yet, but we are excited for them soon to acknowledge one anothers existence

My little glow worm after she was done eating.

Annie is now 8 weeks old and is starting to put on the pounds…well, ounces I suppose. Her cheeks are really starting to fill out and her little legs are getting some rolls. It is the cutest thing.

I know sometimes people pretend to be sleeping to get a cute picture like this but this one is real. You can tell because Annie is kind of falling off of Matt
I walked in after our Bible study the other night and my husband and little daughter were taking a nap together. Matt is an amazing father, he absolutely LOVES changing, holding, hugging, kissing, playing, bathing, etc Annie. Anytime he can do anything with or for her he does. I love watching him love her. Oh how the Lord has blessed me!
Matt and I are spending Christmas in Minneapolis and then will head to Milwaukee for our annual Christmas conference. After that we will head down south to visit Matt’s family in Charleston. Annie will get to meet her Aunt Jenni and Aunt Ali for the very first time as well as hopefully many of our supporters.
We will be in Charleston starting Jan 5 and will be there until we are done raising more support so we hope to get a chance to see many of our support team in the south.
Please be praying for our Christmas conference at the end of the month. We are talking about all the “freedoms” that Christ offers us. Pray that students would be effected by the message of Jesus Christ’s offer of freedom to us.
One last picture…

Right away when Annie first was born she loved being wrapped up in these blankets called “swaddle me’s”. They wrap up their hands and feet really tight. Babies love them. However, that was short lived for Annie. She now likes her hand and arms to be free when she is sleeping. Whenever we check on her we find her with her hands up by her head. It is really cute.
Then, last Sunday we took Annie to church again but it has been getting a bit colder here. So…that means jackets, sweaters, hats, and mittens. This is Annie first snow hat. It is hilarious, it has ear flaps and everything. She looked like a true Minnesotan.
Annie has been doing really well. She even slept 6 hours straight last night for the first time. She has been a little fussier at night so maybe that was her way of paying us back.
Annie is a bigtime eater. It is hard to get her to stay awake after about 10 minutes however. After she is done eating, while we are burping her, she tends to make the cutest, funniest faces. Here are a few pictures of her after she was done eating.
Well, it is official that Annie already has Matt wrapped around her little finger. Matt adores Annie and is so good with her. I love to watch him hold her and play with her. The funniest thing is that Matt has come up with some funny names for Annie including “burpy Mc Cheese” and “squeakers”. Another funny thing is this game that Matt plays with Annie when she is about to get hungry. This is Matt’s official and very scientific way to determine if she is indeed hungry.
That is right. He holds her up to his nose to see if she starts sucking on his nose. If she does than she must be hungry. You should see Annie’s face sometimes when she starts sucking on him. It is a look of such disgust. It is the funniest.
Here are a couple more pictures. I need to figure out how to put the sideways ones up on the site so that they are right side up…any body know how to do that?
It is so funny that she is only 3 weeks old and already it seems like she has changed so much. She is starting to stay awake for a little longer after she eats now. And it seems, to us at least, that she is filling out a little more. Her cheeks are a little chubbier
Here is the picture I was telling you about…
Saturday afternoons Lindsey, Samm and I are planning on getting together to hang out and do something fun with the kids. Since it is starting to get cold we are planning on meeting at the mall sometimes to get out of the house and walk around. It is so nice that there are other women that are walking through the same thing that I am. It has been such an encouragement to have them around me.
Maddux (1 week) Ellie Jane (13 weeks) Annie (2 weeks)
It is so funny that they look so different and they are only a couple months apart. Soon they will actually be able to play with each other.
This is just an extra picture of my cute Annie sleeping. Thought it was worthy of putting on the site.
This past Thursday we took our first official outing (besides going to the pediatrician). We got Annie all packed up and headed to White Bear Lake’s Apple Orchard. (side note: for almost everything we have had to travel to since we had Annie, we have been a good 15 min. late for everything. Apparently we are still getting used to packing up her stuff and getting her ready in a efficient manner)
Since I am still a little sore and I was nervous keeping a 12 day old outside, our trip lasted about a total of 15 minutes. But it was really fun to take her somewhere and we got some fun pictures on top of some great apple cider.
Gramma Raines and Gramma Reinhart were both there to help expose Annie to the outdoors.
After our trip to Grandma’s house we had a little photo shoot with Annie in an outfit that my cousin Sarah sent us in the mail. She was so cute trying to sit up and keep her head from falling over.
Today Annie had her first play date with Ellie Williamson and Maddux Poteat. Well, at least the moms got together with the girls and hung out. The girls have not exactly been interested in each other yet. I will post a picture of the three of them together next.
Our first trip to church is tomorrow.
Well, last Friday we had our first doctors appointment for Annie. She was 5 days old at that point. She had already regained the weight she had lost since birth. Then today we had her second appointment a week later and she had almost gained a whole pound more. Interpretation- Annie is a big time eater, just like her mom and dad!
She looked so cute sleeping in her diaper on the big white doctor’s table, and ended up sleeping through most of her check up.
This is a picture of my mom holding Annie dressed in her “winter wear”. This is a snowsuit that I wore when I was a little baby.
This is my sister and Annie. Stefanie was our doula and helped us walk through delivery with Annie.
This is a picture of Annie and Maddux. This was the first time that they met. They were not really interested in each other yet, but we are sure that they are going to be BFF. Maddux was born 6 days after Annie.
Annie Reagan on the left and Maddux Poteat on the right.
Things have been going well at home. We are enjoying getting to know Annie more every day. She is now 12 days old and it already seems like she is changing so much. She was awake for about an hour this morning which was an all time record. Matt was singing to her this morning and she turned her head to look right at him. She is making a lot more noises and gets fidgety or bored or something when she is eating for awhile.
Yesterday we had our first outing to the Apple Orchard which we will post pictures of soon.
